We are very excited about this offering. The book is written by Masa Kasahara and employs the entirely new approach. The Solfege has been used in music training for a long time and very popular among European nations. The original Solfege is context dependent. The author defined a set of Phonetic Codes out of the traditional Solfege and call it the 12 Note Solfege. Because it is a set of Phonetic Codes, it mapps to the keyboard in 1-on-1 basis and context independent, meaning easier to learn. There is no spelling issue, such as C# and D flat.
It also employs the fixed do system. Therefore, it does not interfere with Absolute Pitch training. It provides a framework where both Absoluteness and Relativeness (Harmony) can be seemlessly integrated.
If you have issues with other ear training methods, you might be interested in this new approach. The book is in pdf file format and comes with the first part of the recording in mp3 format. They are zipped (compressed) as one file. You can order the second part at the same time or purchase it separate. This is due to the download size limit imposed by Yahoo. If you have Windows XP/Vista, you can unzip the file with a built-in facility. If you use an earlier version of Windows, you need an unzipping program. You can use Winzip(tm), for example, to do that. Now, you can practice anywhere and anytime with your portable MP3 Player.
Be sure to check our companion software (VirtuosoEar) if you have a MIDI-enabled instrument. You can integrate this method into your daily practice routine.
Note: This product is non-refundable since it is in downloadable format. Please utilize an excerpt and sample lessons from the book below.
