12 Note Solfege is a set of Phonetic Codes for Muisc. It is a sub set of traditional solfege. Therefore, it does not introduce any conflict. Our notation system (music staff) suffers from spelling issues such as C# and D flat. Thus, traditional solfege is also subject to this problem since solfege is a sing-able notation system. However, 12 Note Solfege is not because it is a set of Phonetic Codes. It is much easier to introduce to new learners and works well with MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) technologies.

Music is one of our languages. Therefore, it should be learned the same way we learn our languages. How did you learn your native language? We all learned our native languages by ears. Quite often, we don't do that in music training. 12 Note Solfege is an ideal vehicle for music education. Now, we offer a complete Ear Training method based on this concept. 12 Note Mapper is designed as a low cost alternative to 12 Note Solfege Synthesizer. 12 Note Solfege is definitely more intuitive than 12 Note Mapper because it tells you what note is. It is, however, not easy to cover the entire instrument range. There is no human who can do it with his/her own voice. Even if we employ a multiple of singers, it still falls short. Instead of using 12 Note Solfege, each note is represented by a different instrument as shown below.



We created companion software called "VirtuosoEar" to go with our book. With this software, you can train your ears during your daily practice routine.

EarMagic Basic Edition is our first product, addressing the need for a partner during Absolute Pitch training. The Basic Edition is now replaced with Standard Edition. The Standard Edition incorporates 12 Note Mapper function, which is introduced in 12 Note Mapper, software companion to our recent book titled "A Totally New Approach to Ear Training based on the 12 Note Solfege". We initially planned Basic Plus Edition for guitar players with added guitar interface. Since we almost completed 12 Note Mapper and its function, we decided to introduce Standard Edition first. Then, perhaps Basic Plus Edition will come back as Standard Plus Edition.
