We officially became a member on December 21, 2009.
A great source of MIDI related information. If you use MIDI (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) and need some technical information, you will eventually come here.
A great source for Computer based Music Research at Stanford University. You might wonder why we list them here. We will eventually use MusicXML, the format used to exchange notational data among different programs, which is based on the research done at CCARH, among other things.
Speaking of MusicXML, here is the definition. It is a good reference for those who are interested in Music Notational Programs.
A great source for Computer based/related Music Creation at Stanford University. There are many reasons we list them here. But, the closest example to us is that they are involved in developing a quad pickup for a MIDI violin, which could be used with our products.
This is the violin pickup mentioned above developed by Zeta in cooperation with Stanford University. We have absolutely no idea how well it works in real life situations. While it is hard enough for guitars, it should have been quite a bit of challenge to create a pitch-to-MIDI conversion system for vowed instruments. Since MIDI enabled violins are not well known, we thought we should mention it here.
If you are a guitar player, you cannot miss this event. They feature hand made acoustic guitars built by best luthiers around the world with music provided by exceptional talents. With the very minimum cost to get in, it is an ultimate event for guitarist. We did not present our products there for 2009, but we might do so in the future when we have products targeted for guitarists.
